this movie pissed me off

just so you know, I’m not Indian nor am I a Hindi speaker but I grew up watching Bollywood and decided to watch some movies for nostalgia sake when I saw this recommended to me by YouTube. Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar is marketed as a typical Bollywood romcom where boy meets girl, they both get married only to run into some issues post-marriage and hilarity ensues. unfortunately, that was not the case with this movie and instead, it was like watching a psychological horror of some sort where I watch the female character be manipulated either through deception or reproductive coercion. now, I’m not saying that she was perfect or anything but this movie was one hell of a misogynistic trash which should have been thrown in the garbage.
