So many ATBB movies in our grandparents' and parents' generation,even in our generation before this Pan India thing,but rarely anyone knows about box office figures of these movies

The only thing we know about all these movies is,they were good and resorted with the masses at times of their release,and the movie itself/any of its characters or dialogues,etc. became iconic for several decades But I have never heard anyone mention box office figures of all these movies(and many more) while praising or even just talking about these movies So,why people became so obsessed with box office collections now
