Bunny (from YJHD) is not a good guy and the movie sucks

Controversial opinion here: The movie isn’t as good as it regarded to be. And the prime reason is Bunny himself. Dude is self absorbed as fuck. He doesn’t talk to any of his friends and family back home for 8 years. Despite them trying to reach out to him countless times. The fight scene between Avi and Bunny; he tells Bunny that he never called them even once in 8 years while they all tried their best to call him. He was always out of touch. He didn’t even go to his own father’s funeral. The worse part is that everyone seems casual with this. He makes a huge entrance at Aditi’s party, does the dance, gets everyone grooving. The rest of the shaadi ceremony is like that more or less. But nobody seems to scold him, be mad at him for not staying in touch for 8 years. Everyone, except Avi, seems to be happy that he is back. Aditi is overexcited he is back. Naina, for some weird reason, still seems to have this low key crush on him again despite seeing him after 8 years. She takes him places, they are flirting and having fun. Nobody, at any point of the movie, tells him “Dude, what the fuck?” Even his step mother. That one scene at the rnd of the movie where he goes back to his home. His step mother seems unusually calm about him being there after 8 years of no contact. He didn’t show up for your husband’s funeral but I guess, his charming “yeh roohafza bahut bura hai” joke is all it takes to win you over. Avi was the only one who was pissed. He was justified in his anger but I guess the movie was like “Bhai, party ka mahaul hai. Vibe mat kharab kar”. Because even he stops after a point. 8 years of no contact. Friends, families will stop putting in effort for you. You will end up lonely. You won’t get the princely treatment that Bunny gets upon going back home. In real, nobody would have cared for Bunny after he came back. Everyone would have moved on. 8 years is a long time. Edit: On a side note, I love the music of the film. Amazing songs. The movie might be overrated as fuck but its songs are incredibly good.
