Bihar is among the most language diverse states in India. The major languages spoken here are Angika, Bajjika, Bhojpuri, Magahi and Maithili. Many districts speak a mix of these languages and there are variations even among these major languages too in different regions. Today, Devnagri lipi is used, but Bihari languages had our own script called Kaithi which is close to extinction now. Note: Wrote this in English so that everyone including those from outside Bihar can understand the diversity we have.
