Kasish Kapoor vs Big Boss - Is it a case of straight up bullying?
Did Kashish flirt? Yes. Did Avinash flirt back equally? Probably not. However, Avinash does seem to have something going on with Esha, while Kashish has no such involvement. Regardless, these are consenting adults, and their choices are their own. Did Kashish accuse Avinash of flirting? No. In fact, even during the peak of the controversy, she consistently maintained that their flirting was harmless and never offensive to her. The only issue she had was with Avinash’s derogatory counterremarks, such as “Tujhe maza aaya baat karke” (Did you enjoy talking?) and “Tu aayi thi angel set karne” (You came to play the angel). She explicitly mentioned this as her grievance and stuck to that point throughout. Of course, no one supported her “10 lakh” comment, and people were understandably upset on Digvijay’s behalf. However, Kashish did try to fix things later and even stood by Digvijay when others ganged up on him. That showed integrity. Now, coming to the main issue: it was astonishing to see middle-aged, moderately powerful men like Vivian and Karan ganging up on her during the Adalat task. Kashish was never allowed to speak, and the only point Karan and Vivian focused on was, “Kashish was flirting.” She never denied this, yet they used it to target her unfairly. And then there’s Salman. His remarks felt like straight-up bullying. It seemed like these men’s egos were hurt by the fact that “ek ladki kaise unchi awaaz mein baat karegi” (How can a girl raise her voice?). This wasn’t just criticism; it was bullying, character assassination, and mental harassment of a 25-year-old woman who is, comparatively, a nobody in their world. Before drawing conclusions, let me clarify: I’m a guy, and this was my first time watching Bigg Boss. Initially, I thought I’d stop watching after Digvijay’s exit. So, I have no special attachment to Kashish. But in this situation, she wasn’t wrong. In fact, you could analyze the entire season, and you’d find that she was never truly at fault. On the other hand we have Karan who could nonchalantly say, “I would slap my sister” (kuch bhi reason ho).3
