How to get a birth certificate in Bangalore?
1. Within 21 days of the child's birth, the birth must be registered at the local municipal corporation or the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) office. Visit the nearest BBMP office in your area to initiate the registration process.
2. Gather the following documents before visiting the BBMP office:
- Application form for a birth certificate (available at the BBMP office)
- Proof of birth: Hospital/medical certificate, discharge summary, or any other document issued by the hospital where the birth took place.
- Identity proof of parents: Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, or any other government-issued identity document.
- Proof of marriage of parents (optional): Marriage certificate or any other supporting document if the parents are married.
3. Take the completed application form and all the required documents to the BBMP office in your area. The officials at the office will guide you through the process.
