How to file income tax returns online in Bangalore?

Step 1: Go to the Income Tax e-Filing portal and download the appropriate ITR utility.

Step 2: Open the utility, fill in the applicable fields, validate the form, generate the XML, and save it.

Step 3: Login to the e-Filing portal and select 'Income Tax Return' under the 'e-File' menu.

Step 4: Enter PAN, select assessment year, ITR form number, filing type, and submission mode as 'Upload XML'.

Step 5: Choose a verification option: DSC, Aadhaar OTP, EVC through bank or demat account, or manual submission of ITR-V.

Step 6: Attach the ITR XML file and provide the required details based on the chosen verification option.

Step 7: Submit the ITR for processing.

Step 8: Optionally, e-verify the submitted ITR later using 'My Account > e-Verify Return' or send the signed ITR-V to CPC, Bengaluru.

Step 9: View the uploaded ITRs on the portal.
