How to apply for a marriage certificate in Bangalore?
Offline Procedure:
1. Visit the sub-registrar office nearest to your residence.
2. Obtain the application form for the marriage certificate.
3. Fill in the application form carefully, including any name changes for the bride.
4. Have three witnesses of the marriage sign the form.
5. Submit the filled-in form along with the required documents at the sub-registrar office.
6. The information provided will be verified, and 6 printouts of the application will be given to the applicants.
7. The bride and groom must sign the printouts in the specified area.
8. Two copies of the marriage certificate will be provided to the bride and groom, while others will be kept for official records.
Online Procedure:
1. Visit the official website of the Karnataka government for online applications.(https://kaverionline.karnataka.gov.in/MarriageOfficeSearch/MarriageOffSearch)
2. Select your district from the options provided.
3. Enter the details of the bridegroom and select "Registration of Marriage Certificate."
4. Fill in the Marriage Certificate form and choose an appointment date.
5. Submit the application by clicking on "Submit Application."
6. An acknowledgment slip with a temporary number will be generated.
7. Print and keep the acknowledgment slip for reference.
