Zomato and it’s horrible service and customer care
Zomato is reaching new lows! Today I placed an order for my 72 year old grandmother, the delivery guy reached two roads away and called me and said that he was at the location, I told him to read the address and look for the house number on the 10th cross which is 2 roads away and he shared his WhatsApp number with me to send the location correctly as he said the pinned location was away, I did. After a while he calls me to say he didn’t receive the address, I repeated his number and he said it wasn’t that and gave me another one, I sent the location on this number as well, after a while he calls and says he can’t find it and I didn’t send the location so he cut the call and cancelled the order and now Zomato is charging me for it? The customer support executive then went on to defend him throughout the conversation and support all his lies, he even verified his number in front of her but she says the last two numbers were interchanged. Now how is that my fault? I was given a stupid coupon of 119 and fed a load of sweet talk about how Zomato cares for their customer and she’s here to “sort this out” and I should “have patience” and “calm down” and “relax”. Like okay Ma’am then recognise your customer is not the one who cancelled the order and got a free mutton biryani? Knowing all the scams going on and to shamelessly defend the delivery guy and blame the customer is a new low for anyone. Ugh, the Guts.3
