Lemons and eggs on roads (threeway intersection)

Guys, I stay in SG palya (near Christ college) and everywhere I go I find either lemons (very frequently) or eggs (sometimes) on roads. I know it's a type of black magic and not so serious, however at times i unknowingly pass by them as they're everywhere. I come home usually and wash my feets and hands and keep clothes aside to wash them later. This is also practiced in my state but very uncommon and only appears to be done rarely and on very special occasions so I'm not aware how much weightage it holds here. Although I don't believe in such things strongly, I just want to make sure I am on the safe side. Can the localites please advise me how to be safe from any negative effects or if in case I come such things what must I do. Thanks a lot
