Is a 30 min walk to college too long?

I currently live nearby college(6 min walk). Thinking of shifting to a 1bhk but the only decent one I can find near MSR is 28 minutes away(2.1km). I don’t plan on using any transport. I think I might be able to do it but people are telling me its too far away. I just don’t want to shift there and regret every day of commute. Thoughts?
