How to commute?

Hey guys, I'm gonna be coming to Bengaluru for a 2-month internship and I'm wondering how I'll commute to my office. Is it a good idea to buy a used bike, use it for 2 months and sell it off? Or maybe I should transport my scooter from my hometown and then ship it back. I'm considering these options because I've heard a lot of negative things about public transit, especially autos, plus it's gonna be more expensive in the long run. Any advice or leads on this would be greatly appreciated.
