Help needed: Travelling to Bangalore first time

Hi everyone, I am travelling for the first time to Bangalore and then to Hubli for work related events. Reaching Bangalore T2 terminal on 3-4 pm and have booked train to Hubli for night. So can anybody please help how to reach from T2 to KSR Bangalore station.(will prefer reasonable transportation cost) From what I have heard is that the airport is very far from the main city and not much connected (might be wrong). If anybody can help me out with this, will be really helpful. Thanks
