Found an i phone 12

Hello guys i recently found an iPhone 12 at midnight at kengeri.. I waited for 6hrs if someone would call on that number but yet no call the phone is locked . Do i sell it or hand it police.. And yes if I gotta sell where do I sell the phone as it's locked.. if given to police no proof they gotta give it to owner
