A Walkathon was conducted by Bangalorewalks today - For the first time, I visited Malleshwaram, and I’m absolutely in love with the place
Today I participated in an event by Bangalore walks, led by Arun Pai. My husband registered for both of us. The event started early in the morning at the Metro Station near Mantri Mall. The guide explained the history of Malleshwaram, and then we began the walk. We explored the streets of Malleshwaram and stopped at Veena Stores for breakfast. It was a great experience overall. This was my first time visiting Malleshwaram, even though I’ve been living in Bangalore for nearly five years—four years in Sarjapur and the last year in Padmanabhanagar. I never got the chance to explore Malleshwaram or other parts of West Bangalore until now. I really enjoyed Malleshwaram. The footpaths were clean, the greenery was amazing, and the roads were well-maintained. Walking along Sampige and Margosa Roads felt so refreshing, like being in a green oasis. We also walked through the inner residential areas, and I loved the big, independent houses. They are so different from the apartments you see in other parts of Bangalore. Veena Stores was another highlight. The area around it, its setup, and the vibe of the crowd made it feel special. What stood out to me even more was the early morning atmosphere. People were starting their day—getting ready for work, cleaning their house entrances, and making rangoli. It was such a peaceful and beautiful scene. Overall, Malleshwaram is a lovely area with a unique charm. I also made some new friends during the walk, most of them locals who joined for the group experience.5
