Something Wholesome
Last night, I dropped off my friend at the Sandal Soap metro station, just in time for the last metro heading to Majestic. I went up with him to the gate, saw him off, and started heading out. As I was leaving, a group of people was casually walking toward the metro. I passed them, but once they got on the escalator, I suddenly shouted, "Brohh!" One guy turned around, and I said, "YOU HAVE 2 MINUTES, HURRY UP!" He thanked me, and soon the others were yelling, "RUN, RUN, RUN!" But—here’s the funny part—they weren’t actually climbing the escalator stairs. I thought, *Hmm, strange. Rich kids, I guess. They’ll probably just grab a cab.* I continued on my way, but then it hit me—there’s another metro heading the other direction that runs about 30 minutes later. Maybe they were going that way. And then I smiled, thinking they might have appreciated my “help” and played along just to make a random stranger feel good. Cute, haina?1
