I don't know what to do
I work in a Bangalore based firm. After I joined, I observed a few unethical practices, like one leave per month policy, which is way less (and I think illegal w.r.t Labor laws of Karnataka), and sandwich leave policy on top of that. When I confronted HR about this repeatedly since I needed a week off, he was very reluctant to even share the leave policies. Anyways, later he calls me once and says we have to let you go due to cost- cutting reasons and effective immediately. They aren't paying any severance or the 2-month notice period money. What should be my next steps regarding this? Any help is appreciated. P.s. I am not on probation, just to clarify. And there hasn't been a performance issue, I can assure that.1
