Why should we pay Logistics charges to vehicle dealership showrooms?

Recently i bought a TVS scooter and i had to pay Rs 2000 something as Logistics charges. In all the showrooms, it was the same. I also went to enquire about Baleno Alpha in Maruti Suzuki showrooms. Shockingly, i got the same responses. Since when logistics and handling charges have become a standard in Guwahati? For those who don't know about these charges, It is the cost incurred for bringing their products from stock yard to their dealership showroom(NOT from showroom to our houses). If the vehicle which is bought is to be delivered to my house/apartment, the the fee is justified, that's fine. We should be paying the ex-showroom charges and that should not include any ex-factory costs. Why should we pay for whatever charges are incurred by the dealer in between? Is this happening because Guwahatians are earning more, or simply because they are gullible and unaware and non-rebellious in the FINANCIAL trickery of these unethical capitalists?
