    Thoughts on god and atheism

Growing up, I never found religion logical, yet somehow, I still became part of it. As I got older, my doubts about God's existence grew. Most people around me are religious and constantly ask why I don’t believe. But they never offer any evidence for God's existence—only demand proof of His non-existence from me. If you claim something exists, it’s your responsibility to prove it, not the other way around. They argue that just because we can’t see things means they don’t exist. But that doesn’t mean God exists either. This argument is a fallacy because it assumes that the inability to disprove something automatically proves its existence, which is illogical; absence of evidence is not evidence of existence. It’s a paradox—each religion claims its god is the one true god, but they all demand the same blind faith without offering concrete evidence. When I say I don't want to participate in the religious rituals people glares at me as if am committing a grave mistake. \-------------------------------- **TLDR** “**I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours**.” -- Stephen Roberts Do people in India think this way? if you do please share your thoughts.
