Parenting sons vs daughters: Do we need to adapt our approach?

Hey fellow parents! As a new dad, I'm eager to learn and do my best. I want my child to grow into a compassionate and empathetic person. Since I didn't have a close relationship with my own father, I'm determined to be a positive influence in my kid's life. I'm curious - do you think parenting styles should vary depending on whether you have a son or a daughter? My sister, who has both a son and a daughter, shared her experiences with me.
