Men who are or get insecure about their gf's / spouse's clothing can you specify what goes in your head

I'm not talking obscenity level or not dressing wrt to occasion. Do you associate it with the respect they hold for you ?I have seen posts saying: ● ' my partner don't control me and that's why I myself don't do these ' . ●' ppl out of abusive stories saying it started with clothes and food choices .. they obliged and then then found themselves in abusive relationships that lasted like half a decade '. ● ' I have seen women brag how her husband s secured ..xyz ' All online btw , just randomly bombarded with all of this . I'm interested in knowing non- influencers' perspective.
