Is govt jobs Still have value in India

Except for Class A government jobs like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and RBI, there is no respect for other government jobs like banking, SSC CGL, and various state government jobs. These exams are difficult to crack, offer low salaries, and come with high work pressure. Why do people still prepare for these exams and waste their time?
