How to get away from social media?

Hey, so I am 22M and addicted to **social media**, instagram or Snapchat. I can delete it but FOMO is holding me back. I might loss something new happing in the world. then what?. Reddit, YT is ok but Insta is eating my time. can somebody suggest me something? And if delete it then what about new things happing?
