How come even homeless beggars in India have multiple kids?

We know that overpopulation is a major problem in India, especially in the rural areas. Couples cant get a one time meal but still choose to have multiple children.But how come this is also applicable for homeless people in India? I mean , you dont have a roof above you, in this situation how can one imagine that brining an extra mouth to feed will be a good idea? Leave aside that, getting pregnant and child birth itself is an extremely complicated phenomenon, one that physically drains the mother.
