Greatest Indian Boy Band?

So I just came across this news—Savan Kotecha (the guy behind One Direction, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd hits) is partnering with Republic Records to form India's first global pop boy band. They’re calling it the biggest talent hunt in the country, and the goal is to create a group that can stand alongside BTS, Backstreet Boys, or 1D. It made me think—why hasn’t India produced an international pop group before? We have massive music industries (Bollywood, indie, regional), insane talent, and a population that already stans K-pop and Western pop acts. But an Indian boy band never really took off. Do you think this can work? Will Indians actually support an Indian pop group the way they do BTS or 1D?
