What is the obsession of Indians questioning when someone is getting married as soon as they reach adulthood?

In the wedding season, I've heard multiple people tell my parents that they should get me married off before 25, infront of me and not jokingly too. Even some unknown elder women have commented on this when they get to know I'm 22. I'm still pursuing my education but the first thing they ask when I'm getting married.
