In India what steps can we take when someone driving without a license causes accident to your car ?

In India , what options do we have when someone without license causes accident to you ? The guy was driving without license and totally clueless about driving he didn’t listen to us to stop and rammed into our car from the side causing a prominent dent and scratches . The owner of the car was his cousin / female friend’s father who was also in the car . He doesn’t have a license but he said he is above 18 and also looked like an adult for sure . What steps can I take now ? I have the video of the incident and their confessions . How will I get my damages paid for ? Are there any complications regarding third party insurance . This who are aware please let me know . We didn’t do FIR .The accident happened yesterday around 8 pm. I have the video proof of confessions of driving without license and hitting our car. —- The person is now telling us to go through our own insurance .
