Has the public opinion of the political parties changes in the past few years?

On the demise of the respected Dr. Manmohan Singh, I am wondering if the public has grown to change their opinions from what they were a decade ago? Have people grown to accept Congress more seeing the failure of BJP especially towards the middle class? (eyes to Nirmala Sitharaman) Are BJP extremists still dominating the political scene? I ask because I reshared Vir Das' post with caption RIP (Manmohan Singh) and one of my followers (who is gujrati btw) said - Abhi kuch kahunga toh bawal ho jayega. I think we can all agree that Manmohan Singh was a man of great intellect and humility. Like let's not let politics overshadow a human loss. We're all better off when we stay civil with one another. What is your opinion? Edit - typo in title, it should be changed\* not changes
