35/F Why is finding plain genuine friendship so hard at 35 ?

Edit: I am not a lonely person. I am asking about genuine connections beyond family, raising children or profession. I have a busy career, married, looking after family and raising a child. Not exactly having free time or loneliness. What I am asking is for like minded genuine interaction that leads to a productive discussion. May be learn something new from each other. Discuss skills and life experiences. Conversations that don't die in a day or two. When we are younger people are more open to discuss ideas. I agree that at this age we are more busy with career and family but then there are some like me who are not entirely defined by just these basic milestones. And by genuine I want to specify conversations that are not initiated in the hope of getting laid virtual or real!
