Would you say India is getting better or worse? Is Indian immigration going to continue to rise?
First of all, I'm Indian American. I know there is a lot of negativity on Reddit, but I am wondering how optimistic or pessimistic the situation is there in real life. It seems like Indians are taking any chance to leave the country, and are often going to other developed countries with very little social graces... Even the "best of the best," the H1B visa workers are often not actually qualified to do the job, and there are many complaints about their work quality and ethic. So naturally, India and Indians' perceptions are getting worse by the year and will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future as more and more seem to pour into other countries. Unfortunately that reflects upon me, as someone who has very little connection to actual Indian culture and behaviors, and yet, I get second hand embarrassment every time I hear about a "foreign student" doing something bad. I've had liberal people tell me to my face, "Yeah that company sucks to work for, most of the workforce is foreign Indians." I am wondering if the situation is getting worse, and if we expect more and more Indian immigration to the West.1
