Why do the West don't make a great deal about the British Raj?
Like in the Trump's swearing in ceremony Elon Musk allegedly made the nazi salute and the whole West was furious. But when asked about what the Britishers put more than half the countries through, they'd just shrug it off and say it was all in the past. Many of them would have the cheek to say "but the countries developed under them" "India has railways thanks to them." But I think it's as same as saying that if it weren't for Hitler, Volkswagen wouldn't be there. I'm NOT saying that what Hitler did was FINE, holocaust is holocaust and I'm definitely not comparing the deaths. But still, Germans are ashamed of Hitler, but the Britishers sort of worship the crown and Winston Churchill because of who tons of famines occurred and Wikipedia states 2.5+ million deaths in one famine alone Please don't take it otherwise. I'm just *curious* about it. And I'm pathetically ignorant in these topics.2
