Why do Indians defend political parties even when they're wrong?
16M in India, most people act like voting for a party is a lifelong commitment. Changing your opinion about a party is seen as betrayal, even when the party is clearly doing something wrong. Instead of questioning their leaders, people blindly support them without even fact-checking. Media channels don’t help either—almost all of them are biased and only show one side of every issue. It’s like people see politics as an 'us vs. them' battle, when in reality, all we need to do is hold parties accountable when they mess up. The fear of the 'other side' winning keeps people voting for the same party, even if it has failed them. But a real democracy needs **critical thinking, not blind devotion.** If I said anything wrong, feel free to correct me.1
