Trapped in Grindr Honeytrap Scam - Need Advice

I am 20M from Mumbai and am here to study in a college. Have been staying in mumbai from 2 years now. I'm openly gay and i recently told my parents as well. Two days back I had met a guy on grindr and he was interested in me as well. I gave him my contact. He calls me today and asks if we could meet. I kinda hesitated because I had work. I asked him if weekends are possible and he said some reasons and kinda forced me for today. I decided to meet him. He sent me his location. I sent his phone number, picture, the name he told and my live location to two of my friends. But the guy felt nice. I finally reached the location and i meet him. We have nice conversations and he tells me how his life is and stuff. I was continuously talking. We were walking around in a park and there was nobody around. The park was very big and there were trees everywhere. We kept walking and at one location, he asked me for a hug. I said there will be people; to which he says that there won't be people, he comes here often and also tells me that "you've also seen how many people are here" which gave me a sense of security and I hugged him. 10 seconds into hugging, 6 to 7 men come up with their phones on recording and ask us what we are doing. I got pretty scared. They checked on both of us for drugs. They asked what we were doing, and I said we are friends, they asked him too and he said nothing. They asked for our phones and I instantly deleted grindr. He gave his phone to them and they instantly opened grindr and very conviniently opened my chat and found my number and called me and my phone rang, which made me sure that the guy I met was also involved because there is no other way they could have so quickly figured out which one among all chats on grindr was my account. They started questioning why I lied and threatened to take me to the police and I agreed to it. So they shifted to emotional talks on why we shouldnt do gay stuff because it's against Indian culture and then I say I'm sorry, now let me go. They say, hm why let you go so easily. If I give you to the police they will ask you for 70k and also give each one of them 5k, to which I said, chalo let's go to the police. They suddenly feel threatened and decide to threaten me saying they wud show the photo of us hugging to the public and get us beaten up which scared me considering Indian population. They now start asking me for 70k. I said i don't have it. They ask me to call parents and I say that my dad is dead and that my mom is admitted in the hospital. Also all the whole I was acting like I have some injury in the leg and i told them later that I have an upcoming surgery too. Now they ask me to call friends for money. I did call all my broke friends(the ones whom I had informed that I was going) and told them there is a medical emergency, I need 70k. They obviously didn't have it. So they asked me to show my balance. I was expecting around 7k, but i got some mess refund today itself, which I didn't expext, so now it showed 22k. They asked me to send all of it. I said ki I will needoney for surgery please and begged them. They said okay 15k kardo. Also the other guy agreed to pay 20k directly without hesitation. They didn't even ask him. It was always then just talking to me and not him. I am pretty sure they are involved together. Once I have the 15k, they let me go after deleting his number from my phone and also blocking them on goay. My friend whom I had called was already tensed. She came to pick me up. After I told a few friends about what happened, one of them decided to give me the courage to go to the police. Me and 2 of my friends went to the police and told him everything. I gave him the contact number of the guy I met (although they made me delete his number, i had texted him on whatsapp where I had his number) and the details of transaction of 15k(then blocking it on gpay didn't change anything). The police were doing some tracking by calling the bank, made me wait for 45 mins and they asked me to come tomorrow after the numbers they got weren't picking up. I didn't expect the police to say that they have no issues with my preference but it felt good that they weren't throwing the blame on me. Is there something else I can do? I know I have been an idiot to go to that random guy alone. This is the stupidest thing I have done and i am beating myself over this. My parents are trying their best to be okay with me being gay and i feel like an idiot going around meeting people and losing money over shit like this. I feel like a disappointmwnt. I need opinions on how to handle this in both aspects - legally(police, or anything similar) and my brain is seriously supremely fucked, given that I already have been on meds for anxiety , depression and panic attacks from a month now, my body is acting really weirdly. Advice, empathy, scolding me, or anything else - everything is appreciated :)
