How do I approach girls irl?

I am 24, 5’8, I look good if not too good, I dress well if not too well. I want to gain the confidence to approach women irl. Girls are never by themselves, they’re always either in a group or with some other person. I don’t understand how I could go and talk to her. I don’t know what to say. I need some advice, some real advice from men who pull irl.
