Friend 27 (F) suicidal because her boyfriend 28 (M) won't commit

My friend 27 (F) is in a relationship with this guy 28 (M) since 13 years. Basically they both are high school sweethearts. They broke up in the middle for a while but got back together soon after. My friend comes from a broken family and this guy is the only one she has loved deeply. She has rejected every marriage proposal and fought with her parents. Both their families know about their relationship but the guy's parents are not ready to accept her and keep on making excuses like the boy has to settle financially although he comes from a business family. Recently my friend's parents got separated and her father got married again which took a huge toll on her mental health. The problem is that his parents are neither rejecting nor accepting their relationship. They are hanging marriage talks in the middle. The guy is saying that he has nothing of his own as his father has control on their business and home. My friend is deeply troubled. I have asked her to leave him multiple times but given that she has been with him for more than a decade it is not easy for her to do. How can I help her? I know the guy too he is loyal to her but a little laid back.
