Do we need to do subject registration on erp

Hi fresher here. I have not yet been registered for spring sem but there's a link to subject registration on erp it shows my coursework and some additionals. Should I do the subject registration or it's done automatically? Also should I fill up the additionals(I don't have any back but some courses are offered there which I would like to do)? Please help I'm from first year so idk much
