doubt about back

suppose we are getting back in one course, there are two options right, \- write remajor and get chaugi or panji in that course, or wtv just pass that course. \-or repeat the course as summer course. I wanted to know which of the above options will be equivalent to " getting a back" or in other words, degree me likha rahega ki iss course me back paper tha. I think first option me aisa nhi hona chahiye.. right?
