    Leads on budget architects

Hi Guys, I've a house in Indore, the plot size is 1000 sq ft plot. We don't want to disturb the existing pillars but want restructuring and better space utilisation. Can I please get some leads on good architects. I have also never hired an architect before so would like to know how much does hiring and architect costs and the charges of the services they offer.

What do you do to keep your macOS minimalistic?

I've used Mac since OS X Tiger which was released 2005. The older I get, the more minimal I want my system to be. Fewer 3rd party apps, fewer menu bar icons, fewer animations, single-color wallpaper, and so on. And no, I don't want to sit in a minimal terminal on linux lol. I just think that less is more. I also think that the more random apps I install, the higher is the total security risk. So please describe / show your macOS setup :-) How do you...

How Do I Stop Friends and Relatives from Taking Advantage of My Streaming Subscriptions?

Hey Reddit, I’ve got a bit of a problem, and I’m hoping for some advice. I pay for streaming subscriptions like Hotstar, SonyLIV, and Prime Video all on my own. But the issue is, my friends and relatives keep asking for my login details. When I suggest that we share the cost and buy it together, they’re not interested. Then after some time they’ll say, “Oh, I just need it for this weekend” or “It’s just for one show.” I give in because I don’t want to be rude,...

I bought an apartment, what to do next?

I bought an apartment that will be handed over in March 2025. The builder gives the house with flooring plumbing doors. Just looking at the house I kind of get it that I need the following. 1. Furnishing - Permanent (Cupboards and etc) 2. Furnishing - Movable (Beds, Sofa's etc) 3. Electricals - Lighting 4. False Ceiling 5. Railings for windows and balcony. **Am I missing anything?** Also, I was thinking of **going with Ikea for furnishing** and kitchen given that they provide very good warranty (25 years for...

Ivory Crafts Vs Horn Crafts of Odisha

Odisha has a history of fine ivory carvings. Ivory carvings in Odisha are rare and difficult to collect due to the ban on ivory crafts and the cost of ivory.Unlike horn work this craft had a very localised tendency under the patronisation of royal families in Orissa. Even now the collection of ivory is difficult and costly and the carving is comparatively harder than wood. Therefore ivory craft in the State is scanty. Ivory craftspeople have shifted to horn craft due to the ban on ivory. Horn work is...

Shadab biriyani’s taste has fallen significantly

We tried Shadab’s special chicken and special mutton biryani today. The taste was totally disappointing. It’s nowhere near what it used to be few years back. Less pieces, less masala, nothing felt special about the biryani. It is overrated now.
