My MIL and FIL skimping out on my engagement lehenga and other shady behaviours

So I am a 29Y woman, getting married soon to a guy I am in a relationship with 8 years. My fiance communicated with his parents beforehand that they won't ask for any "gifts" and they agreed. My family (being ladkiwale) called them to say that we are going to gift you XYZ (incl MIL jeweley, sarees etc). My MIL didnt say no and happily agreed. Then my family asked to gift me one lehenga. In our family we have the tradition of the bride getting her engagement lehenga...

    Recovery from March 2024 Update?

Hey Guys. Just wondering if any of you did have a recovery from the Google March 2024 core update. Is there any chance, as little as possible to recover a site? I guess a 301 redirect is not a solution, because all good and bad things pass with a 301 redirect. Any ideas? Is worth keeping a penalized site, or is better to start a fresh new one?

Safe taxi services recommendations for late night booking for women.

I‘m a student who has come to Pune for higher studies, but I have to go to Goa urgently tomorrow for a wedding and the only ticket I could get was at 11pm so I have to travel at least 40 minutes from my place to the bus stop. It’s the first time I have travelled alone at night so I want to take precautions just in case. Should I take an Uber or is there a small business taxi service that I should take? I live near the...

How Bengal fell from glory to ruin:

    >In 1963, Bengal lost its greatest visionary, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Under him, Bengal flourished: industrial growth, world-class institutions like IIT, IIM, and ISI, and iconic companies like Birla, JK, Thapar, and Tata thrived in Calcutta. >Bengal was the crown jewel of India. Engineering hubs, Chittaranjan Locomotives, Durgapur Steel Plant, Kalyani Satellite Town, and Digha Beach Resort bore testament to Dr. Roy’s vision. Calcutta was the HQ of foreign firms and India’s industrial giants. >Calcutta was once the gateway to the world. International flights landed here, clubs were the...

    ❤️jit’s Event Last Night

Great concert last night! However, his comment on the 'infrastructure in India for concerts' got me thinking—shouldn't his team or organizers have been aware of these challenges beforehand? It's unusual to hear such remarks from any other international artists performing in India. On one hand, you pay just ₹33k to the administration for the ground, and on the other, you expect international standards for a concert on a sabzi mandi ground. The irony is hard to miss.
