Ideas for a basic day out with an old friend before he gets married Context - I’ve got my best friend who’s back in the city after four years in Europe. We haven’t met in six years, and we’ve always stayed in touch via WhatsApp (because I’m not on Instagram or any other social media). His girlfriend doesn’t like him putting in effort to stay in touch with me over WhatsApp—she thinks it’s weird, but we’re *just friends*, nothing more. The thing is, our financial situations couldn’t be more different. He’s had a major glow-up and gone from awkward college kid to a *“man whore”* for... 1 0 replies
Market Realities & Perspective The stories I’ve heard over the past few weeks during this phase of market weakness have made me realize that it’s not easy for everyone to survive and make money in the markets. While I still believe that India will remain a fantastic market for bottom-up investing for decades to come, I’ve come to accept that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. As we plan to scale our venture, u/BhagavataInc., we might consider accepting outside deposits at rates slightly higher than traditional FDs. Hoping to work with a few... 5 1 replies
Pet sitters in Trivandrum Hi all, looking for recommendations for pet sitters in TVM. We have a 10 year old cat and looking for someone to come feed/play with her while we are out of town. We tried multiple boarding places locally that didn't work out. Thanks! 5 0 replies
There will never be Nationalised healthcare or education in India. I was wondering the cost of Nationalised heatlthcare and education in India. Nationalised healthcare was expensive and could over run the 70% of Central government tax collection. But then I remembered our Brij bhushan singh of BJP owns 54 educational institutes. Kailash hospital of Noida also belongs to some politician, and so do other educational and health institutes. Our politicians have no incentive in Nationalising healthcare and education even when possible... 3 6 replies

Any Finance pros to help me understand falling rupee value Hi, I want to understand how Modi govt is doing poorly than Manmohan govt if we go by falling rupee. From 2004-2014, rupee fell from 43 to 62 a dollar. From 2014-2024, it fell from 62 to 82. Percentage wise, it's technically lesser fall in modi govt, but let's say that it's equal. Now, we have seen huge upsides in Indian economy during both the phases, more so in the second one. So, even if rupee goes to say 104 in the next 10 years, can we not expect... 5 4 replies
Building an app to track dividends Hello everyone, I'm Priyam, Co-Founder of [Vid.AI](http://Vid.AI) and I've built several successful SaaS products, I've personally always wanted an app that could help us track monthly income in terms of dividends by fetching our stock portfolio or by manually entering the stocks and their quantities. The app could also suggest certain dividend income targets and which stocks to invest in or something like that, I've been wanting to build this for the last couple of days, any feedback from you guys would help this more. The idea for this... 4 1 replies
