Got the Fronx Zeta AT Splendid Silver.

Final list was between the tata nexon, suzuki fronx/brezza and hyndai venue. Dad was not sure about tata's relaiability as his friend has a nexon and frequently had some issues. Venue AT was going a bit over budget and hyundai did not give good value for our old car(first gen celerio 8 yrs old). Suzuki truvalue gave 1lakh more compared to spinny and hyundai evaluation. (3lakhs compared to 2.1lakh and 1.9lakh). Sunroof was not a requirement so fronx became a no brainer. Nexa dealership added in better discounts which...

Down and Out in Paris and London

It is a feeling of relief, almost of pleasure, at knowing yourself at last genuinely down and out. You have talked so often of going to the dogs — and well, here are the dogs, and you have reached them, and you can stand it. It takes off a lot of anxiety. How do rich people Live in india?

I've always been curious about the lives of the super-rich ( Earning 1-5 crores per month ) I mean, when money isn't a problem, what does life even look like? Do they plan their budgets? How do they handle such vast sums of money, and how does that affect their lifestyle choices? * What are their daily expenses like? * What do they spend money on regularly? * Do they even bother thinking about "normal" expenses, or is it all about luxury? * What kind of things do they...

    Indian banks are a nightmare

For context: I used to work abroad, returned back to India, living off my savings and haven't had a job for some years (due to life threatening health problems and interviews here being another nightmare - reserved for a different post). So I wanted a credit card. Except of course I don't have income. So I found out a few years ago I can get credit card against FD. So I did that with ICICI, opened a 50k FD, got a credit card with 45k limit. Now I want...

Swiggy driver asked for a tip

I ordered food from swiggy app, the deliver guy asked for a tip and I had deny it, simply because the way he was asking for it. Full akad ke saath, "bhaiya tip de dena", maine bola "dekhta hu bhai", then he said "de dena", then i said " nhi bhai" and then he looked me from top to bottom and he kept staring and I had to walk away with my food while he was still staring. I generally tip the drivers every now and then but sometimes...
