Moving Time Machine files to a new disk I got a new disk for my Time Machine backup. It's been a few years since I have done this. I see now apple no longer allows you to manually copy the files. Carbon copy cloner is also a no go. I was able to come the files with clonezilla on a linux machine. I mounted it on the Mac and all the Backups are there. I ran disk first aid.
