Do honda dealerships secretly don't want you to buy their cars? Do they just wait for fans to buy it off of them

Recently went for test drive new Amaze. I'm not sure if they're setting the expectations low or I've been spoiled by Nexa (which isn't exactly premium tbh) They did not have the new Amaze in cvt neither do they plan on getting one and the waiting period could be a couple of months. While I really like Honda's engineering, I'm worried about their future in India, service/ repair costs. Is this common or it's just my city
