Why do parents throw responsibilities on kids when they become old ? I don't know why ever since my dad passed away, my mother is on top of me and so are my relatives. I'm constantly being reminded about my age and where I stand in life. They keep saying you have to do everything fast now. Finish college fast, get a high paying job fast and marriage then settle. Sighs I know I'm behind in my life and I just don't feel mentally capable of making my family proud. I'm just not believing enough in my abilities. Pretty much all... 4 0 replies
Is this real?? There are so less people intrested in it. I just want to ask that is this legit because It is harsh gujral's show and only 13 people have showed intrest in it. And probably less must have booked this. I actually booked a show of amit tandon two weeks ago but it cancelled. I think the reason was lack of audience but this shouldn't be the case with harsh gujral.Should I book it?? 5 3 replies
Why did my family get weird I asked them about the Kumbh Mela? ABCD here. I was on the phone with my family and someone made a joke about the Kumbh mela. I then asked them what happens at the Kumbh mela and it got super awkward, and they all wanted to change the subject asap. Is there something wrong with the Kumbh mela or could there be a more personal reason for the reaction I got? My family is Hindu and Buddhist btw. 5 5 replies

Quiet place near nature in Karnataka I've been working online and travelling for the last four months, first in south Goa and then in Auroville. Am now looking to explore something in Karnataka. Would anybody like to recommend an area I can live in for 2-3 months? What I need is - \- A quiet place near nature where I can go on walks morning and evening. I practice walking, preferably but not necessarily barefoot, as a meditation practice, so you get a sense of what I'm looking for. \- Not too urban. \- Not... 3 0 replies

Any way to export a WiFi "Profile"? I have an old Mac. In System Preferences (macOS Monterey), I have a "Profiles" option. That shows one entry: "XFINITY WiFi" I think this is from when I used to have an Xfinity account, because it automatically connects me to any Xfinity Wi-Fi networks - pretty nifty...except this isn't my main computer (and I don't have an Xfinity account anymore but the profile still works). I'd love to export this profile to my other main Mac but I'm not sure where it's stored or how to export it. Keychain... 1 0 replies

Van Table Steel Frame Design Hey experts, I'm electrical with limited mechanical structural knowledge - so I typically over design my mechanical stuff so much that I know it won't fail. I remember in college - in one lecture on heat transfer, the professor said "I know how you electrical guys do this - you design your circuit, build it, and test it. If it gets too hot, you add a fan." To the problem - below is an image of a table I'm building for my van - with a list of the... 4 1 replies
Why is India so uniquely lacking in civic sense? Other developing countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and parts of Latin America also have generational trauma from colonialism and poverty, but on average, they seem to be much better at following laws, taking care of their surroundings, and being respectful towards others. What element of Indian culture and/or history cultivates this lack of civic sense that isn't found in countries in similar positions? 4 11 replies
Boss got sent to prison for a poaching charge as a canadian tourist, wondering what his options are. Briefly put, im canadian and my boss (there as a canadian tourist) was sent to prison and it's now been about 2 months since. He was clueless and apparently went on a hunting trip, and killed a baby salt water crocodile in the process since he did not know it was an endangered specie (despite having a least concern endangered statute so go figure). We've had to deal with guards trying to scam us by pretending to release in exchange of money and very little communication. His father is... 5 6 replies
Huh? Entered Time Machine folder shows items newer than my chosen timeline date? ā I open a folder in the Finder. ā I do Enter Time Machine from the Time Machine menu in the menu bar. ā I use the timeline on the right to find & click the date I want. ā The stack of folder windows animates, presumably indicating that it's taking me to my chosen date. But the list shows some files whose date is more recent. I thought I'm supposed to be looking at a snapshot, so all the dates should be only the snapshot date or older.... 5 0 replies
