Charging Limit (Desktop Mode) for MacBooks (Apple Silicon) I recently noticed that when using a MacBook with an external display and always connected to power, it stops charging and goes into desktop mode with charging on hold, due to optimized battery charging. But if I step away for a while, then it goes to sleep and is back to being charged to 100%. And then when I use it for a while, it again starts doing this charging on hold and drops back to 80%.
