2018 MacBook Pro 15" Crashing Frequently Due To WindowServer

I'm using a mid-2018 MacBook Pro 15" running macOS Sierra 15.3. Recently, I've had an issue where my computer will freeze and require a forced restart due, I believe, to a kernel panic centered around the WindowServer process. When this happens, the computer locks up and is unresponsive other than the mouse cursor, which can be moved for a 30-60 seconds although nothing can be clicked on/interacted with. My parents are planning to go to Kerala and I was looking into purchasing an international pass from T-mobile so they can continue to use their current phones in Kerala (instead of switching sims or getting a temporary phone in Kerala).
