Help me not hate Apple for obsoleting a perfectly good MacPro (2013) by ending updates.

< rant > I'm sitting at my desk kinda ticked off at the moment. My daily driver is a perfectly good MacPro (2013, Xeon, R2D2, Trashcan). 12-core Xeon, 64GB of RAM, FirePro graphics, healthy and happy. Except...Apple decided to cap this platform at Monterey. No updates beyond Monterey. Not just MacOS, they cap support for XCode at <v14, which is required for some homebrew implementations. Aaargh, YouTube in dark mode (in Firefox, anyway) not letting you see your comments as you type

Why? Because it's still typing with black type. /slaps forehead I'll have to check if this is happening in Edge as well.* *Narrator: it is. OMG how silly. Maybe the update to Windows 11 24H2 has something to do with it. Works fine in light mode.

The online discrimination targeting Indians is somewhat justified.

The more I see the way migrants from India behaviour abroad, especially in the English speaking world, the more I believe all all the stereotypes associated with Indian migrants. It is sad really and I hate to say this, it is justified.

AI in Photos doesn't seem to be working

Today I upgraded to 15.2 and immediately enabled AI in Settings, with the language set to English (US). I can use AI across most sections, but what I really wanted was to use it in Photos. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. Not only is AI-powered search not functioning, but even basic searches (e.g., for objects like cars or dogs) no longer work. How can I check if Photos is indexing in the background? Activity Monitor didn’t provide any insights.

Command key stops working on 15.2?

Anyone else experiencing this? Keyboard shortcuts like command-N, command-T stop working periodically, in all apps, until I click somewhere or switch windows. But command-tab still works. This keeps happening to me, starting with MacOS 15.2....not sure if it's the OS itself or some software conflict.

Searchlight finds apps/settings/Siri/calculator...nothing else, but Finder does. Anyone have a fail-safe solution?

Like title says (and image below shows). MBA M2 running Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91), and I've seen it's a huge problem across the internet. Deleted the Spotlight index a dozen times in various ways through Terminal and hiding/unhiding docs and my HDD...to no avail.
