The problem is hate for one language is not right..I belive Hindi deserves the respect. I love Marathi and I speak Marathi, but it is a great relief when I travel to any state of the north and can communicate in one language in Hindi. Even now in TN Autowalas also speak Hindi, that doesn’t mean they stopped speaking Tamil. I speak Marathi, I communicate with Marathi even in pubs and malls but when the other person can’t speak Hindi or can’t understand Hindi I switch to Hindi or English.

Some perspective here as a mainlander -

Imagine a city like Jerusalem, Mecca or Medina.

How the culture be like in that city/region.

The same goes for India. India literally birthed Hinduism, Buddhism,Jainism and Sikhism

That's 4 religions from the same subcontinent. How do you expect detachment from the religions our forefathers literally followed.

Also, All the religions mentioned don't agree with proselytizing. Which is the major bone in India against Christianity and Islam.

Whatever your religion is, Most people following the above faiths have issues with proselytizing. They cannot understand it, to be put simply.

If these people are bullying anyone for it. Face them and bully back. But Understand why mainlanders are so protective about their religions. It is wholeheartedly theirs. Not provided by someone.

Correct e cheptunadu ga, Hindi mandatory cheyadam is wrong. We have our own beautiful languages which are spoken and read by ppl, and nobody wants it to go extinct.
