Once you are confident, being an introvert will be a good thing as you will be known as a man of few words. Just focus on being in shape, confident and carry yourself with your chin up. I've gone through this and now most of the people like me.
Confidence and self love is the key.

I am an introvert but when I get a stage to showcase my talent( to argue), i am a different beast. That gives me a lot of confidence. After that is over, I retreat from that setting of social meet & greet, and focus on my work. Basically if you're good at something, people will seek out for you. That's how you'll socialize. Not by barging in but people seeking you out.
