What do Punjabi people think of Nihangs?
They must think Akali Phula Singh, Akali Hanuman Singh, Akali Chet Singh, Akali Dharam Singh, Akali Kaur Singh, Akali Naina Singh. Many were great scholars. They are devoted to Sikhism and is Sikh army officially. There are of course rednecks everywhere but those does not give outlook of Nihangs. -

Sanders Has a Message for Working-Class Trump Supporters: 'They're Going After You' | "Focus not on what Trump says, but on what he does," said the senator from Vermont.
Idc what anyone says — 9 times out of 10, Bernie is the adult in the room. He knows who to talk to and he knows how to invigorate. Most inspiring presidential candidate I've seen in my lifetime -
Hya lokanna kay problem ahe maharaj sobat?
The larger problem at hand is that Indians are horrible at studying and discussing history. Instead of trying to critically analyze events and figures and explore different perspectives, a lot of Indians idiotically politicize and deify historical figures like Shivaji or Tipu or whoever else they're blindly tying their collective identity to. Any narrative that deviates from their world view is automatically considered slander. There's also a complete lack of understanding in India of how history is written, how to discern between credible primary and secondary sources, and knowing what are facts, most likely facts and most likely myth.
As long as Indians look at historical figures as heroes or villains instead of imperfect human beings who are just simply responding to their circumstances, we're going to keep having this pissing contest. -

Why are ETFs so unpopular in India compared to Mutual Funds or Direct Stock Investing?
why ETFs are unpopular in India and in the US are preferred over MFs.
US mutual funds are pass-through vehicles-if they generate capital gains, these must be distributed to unit holders who pay the taxes on the gains which makes MFs less tax-efficient. ETFs avoid this through 'in-kind' creation/redemption that washes away gains. This tax advantage is significant. This is one underrated reason for the popularity of index funds, especially ETFs in the US. In India, both MFs and ETFs don't pass taxes to unit holders, while PMS and Cat 3 AIFs do. -
